Mentorship Program 2016

August 11, 2016

As part of SUE’s mandate to build a strong community among undergrads in the economics department we are working on expanding the Mentorship program. The goal of this initiative is to help connect upper year students with newer students to help integrate them not only into the SUE community but also to help them acclimatize to university life.

SUE is looking to promote research and also provide students who are keenly interested in Economics with mentors accomplished and well versed in life after the undergraduate program. It is our understanding that students would like to receive advice on how best to utilize their valuable degrees. As such we are sending out this message additionally to Graduate and PhD students hoping for them to contribute their wealth of knowledge to this incredible program.

Mentorship Program Requirements:

-Commitment: Meeting once biweekly for 1 hr or meeting once a month for 2hrs

-Introduction Event in September (1hr long)
-Optional: Attend SUE Events

It is our hope that we can improve this program by reaching out to not only first year students but also 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. Please contact societyofundergradsineconomics@gmail.com if you are interested or have any questions. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much! Spread the word!
