SUE Executive Positions up for Election

March 18, 2020

The school year is coming to an end, which means it is time for the SUE executive team to rotate out to leave room for new ideas from eager students. The following are general descriptions of the responsibilities of each position up for election in the coming weeks. See our team page to see who currently holds each position. If you want more of an idea of what day-to-day responsibilities are, feel free to contact us at societyofundergradsineconomics@gmail.com.

If you are an enthusiastic student with a passion for serving your peers, creative ideas for how to make the U of C Econ experience better, and strong time management and leadership skills, then we encourage you to think about running for a VP role. You do not need tons of experience, you just need a willingness to learn quickly in a new role and work hard in a tight-knit team.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page and your email for more information and important dates regarding the election!

If you are interested in being the Executive VP, a Director (which is a lower level of responsibility but is meant to support a particular VP) or in the VP External/FASA Econ rep position, those roles are all hired after the SUE election is complete. If you run for a VP position in this election and do not get the role, we strongly encourage you to apply for one of the hired roles mentioned above.
